A FAMILY CONFAB

Anyone who thinks family business is a simple affair should stop by the New York Grand Hyatt Hotel on Mar. 17-19 for the Cornell University Conference on the Entrepreneurial Family: Building Bridges. In one of the largest gatherings of its kind, more than 30 academics will present their latest research on the subject. Joining them are family-business-oriented professionals discussing such topics as "Money and Power Transfers in the Family Business." With academics from up to 70 institutes attending, the event suggests family business is coming into its own as a serious research topic. The cost is $250 per person.
