COMMENTARYFederal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's semiannual testimony on the state ofthe economy roiled stock and bond markets. The bond market plunged on fearsthat another cut in short-term interest rates was no longer in the cards. Thatprospect sent the yield on the 30-year Treasury racing from 6.2% to 6.4% in oneday. The stock market had a volatile week as well, with the Dow suffering afour-day losing streak until gaining 57.4 points on Feb. 21, to close at 5516.Rallies in computer stocks such as Hewlett-Packard and IBM helped shave thestock market's weekly decline to 1.1%.MARKET ANALYSIS
