BINGAMAN AND BLUMENFELD: NO HARD FEELINGS

In "Climbing out of Windows" (Capital Wrapup, Sept. 4), you reported, correctly, that I withdrew from participating in the Antitrust Div.'s investigation of Microsoft Corp. because of a concern about a possible conflict with one of our clients.

You also reported, incorrectly, that I might have had a "falling out" with Anne K. Bingaman. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have only the highest personal and professional regard for Bingaman and for the work she and the Antitrust Div. are doing, including on the Microsoft investigation.
