Mission Improbable At Kiwi Air (American News, July 31) (Int'l Edition)

International -- Corrections & Clarifications

Mission improbable at Kiwi Air (American News, July 31) (int'l edition)

"Mission improbable at Kiwi Air" (American News, July 31) should have said that Russell Thayer III had been retired for seven years, not six, before taking on the chairmanship at Kiwi International Airlines Inc. The airline did not say it planned to trim its flight schedule or raise ticket prices.

The correct name for France's nuclear-technology agency, described in "Rips in the nuclear safety net?" (Science & Technology, June 19) is Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique.
