In an Apr. 24 editorial, "Advice to Japan: Start importing more," BUSINESS WEEK incorrectly stated that foreign trade zones allow companies to import Japanese-made components tariff-free. In fact, car manufacturers get a 50% reduction in duties on parts imported into the zone, from 5% to 2.5%.
