Corrections & Clarifications

`Who'll be the first global phone company?' (Information Processing, Mar. 27)

"Who'll be the first global phone company?" (Information Processing, Mar. 27) incorrectly stated several ownership positions. The equity ownership of the WorldPartners alliance is made up of AT&T (40%), KDD (24%), Unisource (20%), and Singapore Telecom (16%). AT&T plans to take a 40% stake in a joint venture called Uniworld, of which Unisource will own 60%. And Telefnica of Spain is not yet a shareholder of the Unisource alliance--European regulatory approvals are still pending.
