"Who'll be the first global phone company?" (Cover Story, Mar. 27) incorrectly stated several ownership positions. The equity ownership of the WorldPartners alliance is made up of AT&T (40%), KDD (24%), Unisource (20%), and Singapore Telecom (16%). AT&T plans to take a 40% stake in a joint venture called Uniworld, of which Unisource will own 60%. And Telefnica of Spain is not yet a shareholder of the Unisource alliance--European regulatory approvals are still pending.
