"Survival of the biggest" (Top of the News, Sept. 26) should have described more precisely the deal between American Express Co. and Thomas Cook Group. AmEx bought Cook's corporate travel-management business, which constituted about 10% of Cook's revenues, and its U.S. licensee. Cook remains a provider of leisure travel services, foreign exchange, and travelers checks.
