Sales of domestically made cars and light trucks likely rose to an annual rate of 11.9 million in August, after falling 5.7% in July, to an annual rate of 11.6 million. That's the median forecast of economists surveyed by MMS International, a division of McGraw-Hill Inc. The July drop reflected low inventories of popular models as well as the slowdown in consumer spending.
