SEGA KILLS OFF ITS ZOMBIES

Nintendo won a round in its ongoing public-relations fracas with Sega for moral preeminence in the video-game business. Sega agreed on Jan. 10 to pull remaining copies of its compact-disk game, Night Trap, from store shelves. This after Nintendo sent reporters videotapes of scenes from the game, showing nightie-clad women being abducted by zombies. Sega says it is negotiating a re-edit with the game's developer, Menlo Park (Calif.)-based Digital Pictures, but Digital Pictures President Tom Zito says the game may never be reissued unless the public is made to understand that it is intended for adults.EDITED BY KEITH H.
