Business Week 1000

Corrections & Clarifications

BUSINESS WEEK 1000

BUSINESS WEEK 1000 (1993 Bonus Issue) misstates the market value of Primerica Corp. The correct figure is $6,347 million, which lifts the company to No. 129 from No. 213. Also, Primerica's price as a percent of book value should be 170, and its shares outstanding should be 167 million. The market value of Teco Energy is also misstated. It should be $2,608 million, making the company No. 350 instead of No. 468. Its correct price as a percent of book value is 273, and it has 57 million shares outstanding.

In addition, the glossary accompanying the tables incorrectly stated that I/B/E/S Inc. is a service of Lynch, Jones & Ryan. The two are no longer affiliated.

The correct spelling of No. 915 in the BUSINESS WEEK 1000 Tables is Adaptec. The name of No. 445 in the BUSINESS WEEK 1000 Tables is now Hormel Foods, not Geo. A. Hormel.
