Bill Clinton (at 46 years, 2 months) was not the second-youngest American to be elected President, as asserted in "Clinton's agenda" (Cover Story, Jan. 25). Theodore Roosevelt assumed the office at 42, upon McKinley's assassination, and was reelected in his own right in 1904 (at 46 years, 1 week). John F. Kennedy was elected at 43.
