NOW, A PEEWEE POLAROID CAMERA

It's new. It's small. It's instant. And it's Polaroid's latest attempt to reverse the long downward trend in the instant-camera market. Code-named Joshua, the camera lets you take instant pictures without having to handle the prints: Instead of spitting out of the camera, prints roll into a storage compartment, where they can be viewed through a plastic window. Joshua's compact size makes it handier than its clunky predecessors, but at a price: The 2-by-2 7/8-inch prints are much smaller than standard Polaroid photos. Joshua will initially be available in Europe. The U.S. rollout won't come until next summer.EDITED BY HARRIS COLLINGWOOD
