ARE AMERICAN WORKERS FEEDING THE HAND THAT BITES THEM?

In "The global economy: Who gets hurt" (Cover Story, Aug. 10), the case was for free trade as a net plus for the U. S. economy, while offering examples of workers who have been hurt by the changes taking place. In the case of the McAmis family, featured in the article, it appears that their personal involvement in the movement of some jobs out of the country may predate the flight of Mr. McAmis' own job to Mexico last February. Is the family not pictured with an older model Toyota pickup?
