A 47TH STREET PHOTO FINISH?

A sign on the door promises that "a most exciting event is now taking place at 47th Street Photo." The event, it turns out, is a trip to Chapter 11. Plagued by tightfisted shoppers, tax woes, legal wrangles with a former partner, and a squabble with a big creditor, the electronics chain on Jan. 21 sought relief in bankruptcy court.
