Welcome to our fifth annual Best U.S. Entrepreneurs 25 and Under roundup. As in previous years, we're asking you to nominate promising independent businesses run by talented entrepreneurs who are no more than 25 years old. Our goal is to identify companies that both demonstrate a clear potential for growth and establish the talent of the young folks behind them.

After the nomination period wraps up on Aug. 16, we'll whittle your suggestions down to the 25 most impressive and post their profiles in a slide show on the Small Business channel on Oct. 9. Readers will be able to cast a vote for the business they feel holds the most promise, and we'll announce the top five vote-getters on Nov. 9. If you know of a great company run by young people in your area, use the suggestion form to the right. Remember, the company must be fully operational and all of the company's co-founders must be 25 or under at the time of nomination.
