Many committed small business owners are unaware of the longer-term worries they carry with them every day, while others believe them to be useful in maintaining motivation or focus. If they don’t lead to action, however, worries held over time actually reduce effectiveness — they need to be either acted on or released. Resolving them frees capacity to be creative and productive.
As a small business owner, then, you should make a practice of assessing the long-term worries that occupy you and addressing them. You will undoubtedly find more effective uses for the additional capacity made available to you.
