Outsource Your IT

Posted by: Rod Kurtz on November 23, 2005

Small-business owners tend to spend a lot of time and money researching and purchasing hardware and software. They feel the need to control their IT capabilities in-house and will often spend aggressively to do so. However, there is another way.

Rather than maintain hardware and software in-house, small business owners can save time, money, and resources by outsourcing IT environments to managed-services companies and using “software as a service” (SAAS) applications. Delivered over the Web, SAAS requires little to no up-front investment while offering all the features and security of enterprise-class software. With SAAS applications, there is no software to install and manage, and upgrades are delivered automatically so you are always ensured of having the most up-to-date version of the product.

Giving up hands-on control of technology allows you to concentrate on your core business instead of managing IT, and that can have a big impact on your bottom line.
