Who needs to be tied to the cubicle, or even the corner office, when you can work from your basement in your pajamas and still nail that multimillion-dollar deal? Laptop warriors work in cafés and in WiFi zones (BusinessWeek.com, 3/12/08) in public parks and airport terminals across the country. Now, co-working facilities (BusinessWeek.com, 2/26/07) that create a community of independents have popped up in cities, large and small. Entrepreneurs need little more than a laptop and a smartphone to create their own kind of workspace where they can take a vacation and a meeting at the same time.

According to the Small Business Administration, some 12.2 million Americans, nearly 10% of the workforce, is self-employed, making the possibilities of the home office endless. With that in mind, BusinessWeek.com wants to hear from you, a proud member of the "pajama workforce." We are looking for unique spaces from which you run your home-based business today. Do you work from a tent on the beach, a tree house, or the back of a truck?

Send us a brief description of your workspace along with one digital image no more than 1MB in size to onphoto@businessweek.com by June 23. Be sure to write "Home-based Businesses Special Report photo essay participant" in the subject line of your e-mail. Tell us what you do and what distinguishes your space from a conventional office. Remember: Entrants must be running their own home-based business on a full-time basis, and have been at it for a minimum of one year. We will feature a selection of outstanding work spaces in an upcoming special report in photo-essay format and ask readers to vote on their favorites.
