Readers Write in about an Image Reshaper
Reporter Jeremy Quittner's article about Gloria Mitchell, image updater
to small business (Business Week frontier Online, "Makeover
Artist to the World of Small Biz," June 25, 1999), struck a chord with a
number of entrepreneurs and prompted a small flurry of mail.
To the Editors:
Just read Mr. Quittner's terrific article on Ms. Mitchell's business
venture, advising entrepreneurs on how to present the right look. I once
observed a young man on the subway one morning (I live in New York), and
noticed that while his conservative, tailored navy blue suit was obviously
a cut above the usual, his brown clunky casual shoes, wrong shirt and belt,
ruined an otherwise professional look. Here was someone screaming
for an image wizard like Ms. Mitchell.
I had thought that great ideas properly marketed almost propel
themselves -- until you have to make that presentation and don't know what
to wear. Your article was an eye-opener. How do you get in touch with Ms.
Mitchell? I could send her a couple of people who could benefit from her
advice.

To the Editor:
Your article on image consultant Gloria Mitchell was great. I'm sure
a lot of people want to seek such professional advice but are hesitant.
An article such as yours featured in a top magazine like Business Week
should give all professionals the confidence and encouragement to review
their wardrobe, attire, and total image.
Thank you,
