Bloomberg Businessweek+ (BBW+) iPad App FAQs

1. Where can I download the BBW+ iPad app?

   You can download the app from the iTunes App Store. Your iPad will need to be iOS version 4.2 and above.

2. How much is the BBW+ iPad app?

   The app is a free download from the iTunes App Store.

3. How much is a subscription to BBW+?

   • If you are a print magazine subscriber, a subscription to BBW+ is FREE as part of your print subscription.
   • Otherwise, a monthly subscription is available for $2.99 (you will receive 4 iPad issues per month).
   • You can also pay a one-time fee of $3.99 and get access to all past issues from before the date you first subscribed or activated your free subscription. This past issues archive dates back to March 14th 2011.

4. Can I get a free issue on my iPad?

   Yes, the first time you download the BBW+ iPad app, you will receive a free issue.

5. Why can't I access all past issues?

   Your subscription to BBW+ gives you access to all issues dating back to when you first purchased your subscription or activated your free subscription as a print subscriber.

6. Can I get access to past issues from before I began my subscription to BBW+?

   Yes, you can pay a one-time fee of $3.99 to get access to all past issues that date-back to March 14th 2011.

7. Can I purchase single issues of BBW+?

   No, issues are not available for sale on a single-issue basis. You can only purchase a monthly subscription at $2.99 a month.

8. I am a magazine subscriber. How do I get my free subscription?

   To activate your free BBW+ subscription, you need to go to the iTunes App Store and download the BBW+ app. When the app starts follow the instructions to activate your subscription as a current Bloomberg Businessweek print subscriber.

   To activate your free subscription you will need to have either:

   a) your 10 digit BBW print magazine account number (it can be found on the mailing label on the front cover of your magazine)

   OR

   b) your email address and zip code,

   OR

   c) your full billing address.

   If you live outside of the US or Canada, you will need either:

   a) your 8 digit BBW magazine account number and postcode

   OR

   b) your email address and postcode.

9. I am a current magazine subscriber but I am having problems validating and activating my subscription on the iPad. What should I do?

   If you are encountering problems when trying to activate your free subscription, you will be prompted from within the app to call or email Customer Support.

10. Can I buy a subscription to the BBW print magazine from the BBW+ iPad app?

    You cannot buy a print subscription to the magazine from within the iPad app.

11. Can I preview issues within the iPad app?

    You cannot preview issues within the app, but you may download a complete free issue when you first download the BBW+ app.

12. When do new issues come out on the iPad?

    New issues come out on Thursday at 10PM New York time (EST). You will be notified that you can download the new issue when it becomes available.

13. What do I get as part of my subscription to BBW+?

    Your subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek+ provides all the content in the print edition of the magazine along with exclusive content and interactive features that enrich the reading experience.

14. Can I access issues from my iPad if I am not connected to the Internet?

    Yes, if you have already downloaded an issue, you can access and read it even if you are not connected to the Internet.

    You will need to be connected to the internet to receive live market info and the latest news on companies mentioned within articles.

15. Do weekly issues expire?

    Once you have a BBW+ subscription, you will always have access to all the issues from the date you subscribed. These issues do not expire.

16. If I delete the BBW+ app from my iPad and then re-install it, will I still be able to access all my past issues?

    Yes, you will have access to your past issues from the time you first subscribed to BBW+. You will however, lose your clipped articles.

17. What do I do if I buy a new iPad and want to transfer my subscription to this device and access all my past BBW+ issues?

    • If you buy a new iPad, go to the App Store to download the BBW+ app onto your new device.
    • If you purchased your existing subscription select "Subscribe" to re-verify your iTunes subscription.
    • If you are a Bloomberg Businessweek print subscriber select "Activate" and enter your print information to re-activate your free subscription.

    You will then have access to all your past issues. You will however, lose your clipped articles.

18. How do I cancel my BBW+ subscription?

    You can cancel your subscription through the Apple iTunes store in accordance with Apple's cancellation policies.

19. If I cancel my monthly subscription will I be able to access all the issues I have already downloaded?

    Yes, you will be able to access your downloaded issues as they are saved to your device.

20. If I cancel my subscription, do I still have access to my clipped/saved articles

    Yes, you will still have access to your saved articles even if you cancel your subscription. However, you will lose your clipped articles if you delete the app from your device.

21. Is the BBW+ app available on any other tablet or mobile devices?

    At the present time, BBW+ is only available on the iPad.

22. When I download the application I am given a message that I need to connect to my computer to download the app.

    This occurs when you download the app to an iPad running an older version of iOS. You will need to upgrade to at least iOS 4.2 which requires connection to your Mac or PC.

24. I have purchased a Bloomberg Businessweek digital subscription through Zinio; do I get a free subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek+?

    Subscription to BBW+ on the iPad is separate and different from your Zinio subscription. Subscription to BBW+ is NOT available for free as part of your existing Bloomberg Businessweek digital subscription through Zinio.
