Earnings roundup: Abercrombie, Warner Chilcott

— Teen clothing store chain Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s net income rose in the fourth quarter as the company opened new stores abroad, but a key revenue metric declined during the all-important holiday quarter.

— Irish drugmaker Warner Chilcott PLC said its net income climbed in the fourth quarter as its expenses decreased.

— Intuit Inc.'s fiscal second-quarter profit dropped 40 percent, which the maker of tax preparation and personal finance software attributed to a late start to the tax season. Intuit's main products include QuickBooks, Quicken and TurboTax.

— Interpublic Group of Cos., which owns advertising and marketing agencies, said its fourth-quarter net income rose 20 percent, but its revenue slipped because of lower spending by clients.

— Gardner Denver Inc.'s fourth-quarter profit improved, beating market expectations. The industrial pump manufacturer did not comment on reports that it would be acquired by private equity firm KKR.

— Gibraltar Industries hit a four-year high after the building and industrial products manufacturer topped Wall Street expectations and issued an optimistic outlook.

— Charter Communications Inc. said its fourth-quarter loss narrowed, helped by adding new customers.
