Dollar little changed in light trading

NEW YORK (AP) — The dollar is trading in tight ranges against other major currencies in light trading.

Trading is light because of the Veterans Day holiday. The U.S. stock markets were open, but the federal government and the U.S. bond market were closed. There were no economic reports scheduled for release.

The euro was practically flat at $1.2714 late Monday. It was worth $1.2713 late Friday.

Traders will be closely watching a meeting of European Union finance ministers on Tuesday in Brussels.

The British pound fell to $1.5882 from $1.5903.

The dollar rose to 79.46 Japanese yen from 79.45 Japanese yen.
