EDF Unit Rehires BoFA’s Jonny Cooper as U.K. Power Trader

March 21, 2014

Jonny Cooper, a former energy trader at Bank of America Corp. (BAC:US) in London, rejoined Electricite de France SA to buy and sell U.K. power.

Cooper joined EDF Trading Ltd. on Feb. 17, less than a year after he left in March, Michele Reid, a company spokeswoman, said today by e-mail. Cooper worked at EDFT for five years.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based bank said in January it was withdrawing from Europe’s power and natural gas markets as opportunities shrink and increasing regulation curbs trading.
