First Solar Climbs After Forecasting Higher Earnings for 2015

First Solar Inc. (FSLR:US), the largest U.S. solar manufacturer, climbed the most in more than four months after saying profit will increase to $4.50 to $6 a share in 2015.

First Solar rose 11 percent to $63.62 at 10:20 a.m. in New York, the biggest intraday gain since Nov. 1. Profit this year will be in the range of $2.20 to $2.60 a share, the Tempe, Arizona-based company said today in a presentation for an analyst event in New York.

The company posted net income (FSLR:US) of $353 million in 2013, or $3.70 a share.
