Romanian Utility Acet Awards Water-Treatment Contract to UTI

Acet SA, a Romanian utility, awarded a 22.5 million-lei ($6.6 million) contract for water-treatment plant upgrades in the northern town of Radauti to UTI Grup SA and the Portuguese maker of power-generation and industrial equipment EFACEC Engenharia E Sistemas SA.

The utility received 10 bids for the contract, which was initially estimated at 29.8 million lei, according to a notice published today on the European Union’s tender website.
