New Zealand Beats Host England in Cricket Series With Rain Out

New Zealand beat England 1-0 in their Twenty20 cricket series after tonight’s match was rained out at the Oval in London after two balls.

New Zealand won the toss and put England in to bat in the match, which was delayed by rain. Opening batsman Michael Lumb was out for 2, caught off the bowling of Mitchell McClenaghan. Alex Hales hadn’t yet scored when play was stopped. It was abandoned shortly after 9 p.m. local time, giving New Zealand the victory after it won the first match by 5 runs.
