Oregon State Wins 1-0 to Oust Indiana From College World Series

Kavin Keys scored on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning as third-seeded Oregon State University recorded a 1-0 win to oust the University of Indiana in the national men’s college baseball championship.

Oregon State will meet Mississippi State tomorrow in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. In today’s game, North Carolina State plays top-seeded North Carolina for a chance to meet the University of California, Los Angeles tomorrow.

In last night’s game, Matt Boyd struck out 11 while giving up four hits in nine innings for Oregon State. Indiana’s Aaron Siegers allowed one run on seven hits and struck out five in nine innings.

The best-of-three championship series begins June 24.
