Everton Captain Phil Neville Will Leave Club at End of Season

April 09, 2013

Everton defender and captain Phil Neville will leave the club this summer after eight years.

“I want to continue to play at the top level as long as I physically can, and will be weighing up my options before making a decision on my next move,” Neville, 36, said in a statement on the club website today.

Neville, who joined Everton from Manchester United in 2005, is a member of the coaching staff of England’s Under-21 team. He scored eight goals in 303 appearances for Everton.
