Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended March 29 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 117.4 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 71.8 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 129.3 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 318.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 747.8 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 228.1 billion yen in stocks, and sold 2797.8 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 1821.9 billion yen.
