EIB Studies 100 Million-Euro Loan for Cyprus City, Water Upgrade

The European Investment Bank is considering making a loan of 100 million euros ($130 million) to support water, sewerage and infrastructure developments in Cyprus.

The loan would contribute to a 1.18 billion-euro project to upgrade Cyprus’s cities, boost environmental protection and strengthen the economy, according to a statement today on the Luxembourg-based bank’s website.
