March 02, 2013

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona for the second time in five days, as Sergio Ramos’s goal in the 81st minute handed the Spanish soccer leader a 2-1 loss.

Karim Benzema also scored for Madrid, which beat Barcelona 3-1 in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey on Feb. 26. Lionel Messi scored in his 16th straight La Liga match for Barcelona. It was his 18th goal in the matchup known as “El Classico” to tie the record set by Madrid’s Alfredo di Stefano.
