CEO Benmosche Says If We Were Simple, ‘Then We Wouldn’t Be AIG’

Chief Executive Officer Robert Benmosche, who has narrowed American International Group Inc.’s focus by selling units, said there are limits to how much can be done to limit the insurer’s complexity.

“Some days you wish you could have a simple company,” he said on a conference call today held by the New York-based company. “But then we wouldn’t be AIG.”
