Interpol says today it arrested international soccer match-fixing suspect wanted by Italian authorities. *Admir Suljic, who is “accused of fraud and qualified sporting fraud committed within criminal association,” was taken into custody shortly after his flight from Singapore touched down at Malpensa airport, accoridng to Interpol statement *Arrest followed close cooperation between Italian and Singaporean Police with Interpol: statement *NOTE: Team of 4 senior officers from Singapore Police Force and Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau will be heading to Interpol HQ in Lyon, France, according to statement by Singapore Police Force earlier. *NOTE: Team will join Interpol Global Anti-Match-Fixing Taskforce to assist in match-fixing investigations; Singapore team to engage member countries affected by match-fixing: statement said.
