A Syrian defense-research facility in the Damascus suburb of Jaramana was hit by Israeli jets, according to the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency.

The reported attack follows an Agence France-Presse report that Israeli jets last night targeted a weapons-transport convoy near Syria’s border with Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned about the dangers posed by Syria’s chemical-weapons arsenal in a country suffering a civil war.
