Astrapak of South Africa Says Fire to Cut Supply, Production

Astrapak Ltd. (APK), a South African plastic packaging manufacturer, said today that output will be hurt following a fire at one of its facilities.

“We can confirm that both production and supply will be affected” after the fire at the East Rand Plastics unit in Brakpan, the Johannesburg-based company said in a statement today. “There have been no injuries.”

The company supplies the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, confectionery, fruit and general merchandise markets.
