Everton Eases Past Cheltenham Into F.A. Cup Soccer Fourth Round

Everton eased into the fourth round of English soccer’s F.A. Cup with a 5-1 win at Cheltenham Town.

Everton, which is in fifth place in the Premier League, got goals from Nikica Jelavic, Leighton Baines, Leon Osman, Seamus Coleman and Marouane Fellaini at Whaddon Road in Cheltenham. Russell Penn scored for the home team, which plays in the fourth tier.

Everton will visit the winner of the Jan. 15 third-round replay between Bolton and host Sunderland.

Fourth-round games are scheduled to be played the weekend of Jan. 26-27.

Everton won the F.A. Cup for a fifth time in 1995.
