Manulife Financial Corp. (MFC), Canada’s largest insurer, added C. James Prieur, the former chief executive officer of CNO Financial Group Inc. (CNO), to its board of directors.

Prieur will serve on the risk committee and his term begins Jan. 1, Toronto-based Manulife said today in a statement.
