Go Daddy Names Irving as CEO

December 11, 2012

Go Daddy Group Inc., an Internet domain-name hosting company, appointed Blake Irving chief executive officer.

Irving, who previously held senior management positions at Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO:US) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT:US), will take over as CEO on Jan. 7, replacing interim chief Scott Wagner, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said today in a statement.

KKR & Co., Silver Lake Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures purchased Go Daddy in last year for an undisclosed sum. Wagner, a member of KKR, had been interim CEO since July, Go Daddy said.
