The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority appointed two Hong Kong-born architects for the design of the Xiqu Centre, a landmark cultural venue for the district, according to an e-mailed statement from the authority today.
Bing Thom in Vancouver and Ronald Lu of Hong Kong formed a venture to work on the 13,800-square-meter site over the next four years, according to the statement. The building will be the first of 17 core arts and cultural venues to be opened in the district, it said.
