Venezuela’s Chavez Says New Cancer Cells Detected in Cuba Exams

Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez said today that recent health exams in Cuba showed the presence of malignant cancer cells and that he would need surgery. Chavez, who spoke in a national address to television and radio, asked Venezuelans to elect vice president Nicolas Maduro if he is unable to complete his term.
