Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended Nov. 30 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 494.2 billion yen ($6.0 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 15.7 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 6.4 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 472.1 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 350.2 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 184.3 billion yen in stocks, and bought 2059.5 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 2594.1 billion yen.
