Chelsea Eliminated from Champions League After Juventus Wins

Chelsea was eliminated from soccer’s Champions League following a 6-1 win over Nordsjaelland as Juventus beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0.

Juvenutus’s win means the Italian champion finished first in Group E, with Shakhtar winning the head-to-head tiebreaker over Chelsea for second place. The top two teams in each of the eight groups advance to the round of 16 in Europe’s elite club competition.

Celtic beat Spartak Moscow 2-1 to finish second in Group G by two points over Benfica, which drew 0-0 at group winner Barcelona.

In Group H, Galatasary defeated Braga 2-1 to win the tiebreaker for second place over Cluj, which beat first-place Manchester United 1-0. Bayern Munich beat BATE Borisov 4-1 to win Group F on tiebreaker over Valencia, which won 1-0 at Lille.
