Czech Coal Offers $831 Million for CEZ Plant, Ihned Says

Czech Coal AS offered 16.5 billion koruna ($831 million) for the Pocerady power plant owned by CEZ AS (CEZ), the country’s largest power maker, Ihned.cz news website reported, citing Czech Coal chief executive Lubos Pavlas.

Czech Coal, a mining company that supplies brown coal to CEZ, didn’t extend its initial bid for the Chvaletice power station that the utility had also offered to sell, the website, owned by Hospodarske Noviny newspaper, said.
