Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., the Bermuda-based insurer, has hired John Kuhn as chief executive officer of global insurance.

Kuhn, who most recently worked as the chief underwriting officer at Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., will be joining next week, Endurance said today in a statement.
