Lakers Guard Steve Blake Fined $25,000 for Verbally Abusing Fan

Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake was fined $25,000 by the National Basketball Association for directing inappropriate language toward a fan after fouling out late in a Nov. 2 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The infraction occurred with 29.2 seconds left in a 105-95 defeat at Staples Center that dropped the Lakers’ season record to 0-3, the league said in a news release.

Blake, 32, was starting for injured point guard Steve Nash. He shot 2-of-6 for eight points, with two assists and three turnovers in the loss.
