CNA Financial Corp., the commercial insurer majority-owned by Loews Corp. (L), hired Macquarie Group Ltd.’s James Anderson to oversee mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Anderson will be senior vice president of financial planning and analysis and corporate development, the Chicago- based insurer said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
