U.K. stocks climbed after hiring in the world’s largest economy rose more than forecast in October.
The FTSE 100 Index rose 0.3 percent to 5,878.28 at 12:34 p.m. in London. The gauge earlier fell as much as 0.3 percent.
In the last jobs report before next week’s presidential election, a net 171,000 workers were added to payrolls after a 148,000 gain in September that was more than first estimated, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median forecast of 91 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for an advance of 125,000.
