Tunisia Extends Emergency State for Three Months, TAP Says

Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki extended the country’s state of emergency through January, the official TAP news agency said.

The extension was proposed by military and security officials, TAP reported yesterday. The announcement comes after Islamists raided two national guard posts in Tunis, leading to clashes with security forces that killed one attacker.
