The pound advanced against the euro, strengthening 0.2 percent to 80.07 pence at 11:40 a.m. London time. That’s the strongest since Oct. 3.
Britain’s currency was little changed against the dollar at $1.6111, poised for a 0.7 percent advance over the week.
